Designate of the Word ‘Dog’ Is an Object of Which Truthfully Could Be Said That It is a Dog 2.0, 30 min long online experience, lvl design, 2018.

The project was an attempt to transfer a photographic installation made in 2015 to the online environment. A digital object was created in lvl design technology, which allowed the user to move/navigate through it like in a computer game.The viewer was able to discover hidden layers of the file only by mistakenly, falling off the carpet.

Structure of this object (digital carpet) refers to the term tautology. In logic, a tautology (from the Greek word ταυτολογία) is a formula or assertion that is true in every possible interpretation. I used a programme that enabled me to edit the code of the hexadecimal digital image file. In addition to editing the code structure, I was able to modify it freely and type phrases selected by me into the file. I have copied the definition of a floor carpet from Wikipedia and then pasted it into the code. Thanks to that, I got a picture with multiple meanings. The transformations I introduced changed the visual layer. Similarly, the Persian rug masters deliberately embroidered errors into their work to signal the imperfection of man in the face of God.
